Building Blocks
An assortment of building blocks, large, small, architectural, wooden and plastic provide kids with a platform to build and rebuild invented or familiar structures. Blocks are a wonderfully tactile medium that engages spatial and motor abilities. These wooden toys can be combined and recombined in a myriad of ways offering the opportunity for children to test hypotheses such as balance, symmetry, measurement and estimation. Block play also fosters imagination and creativity. It can be a solitary or community activity that requires planning and execution.
